Forms and Procedure Top?
Civil Procedure Rules and Practice and Practice Directions. The official text, regularly updated but without explanatory notes.
Chancery Guide. Limited information on IP cases but the Appendices have useful guidance on Statements of Case, Bundles, Skeletons etc., as well as address and communication information for court officials.
Patents Court Guide. Always needs to be checked against the CPRs and Practice Directions in case the general rule/practice is modified for Patents Court.
Court Service form finder. The complete catalogue of downloadable court forms, with a useful search facility.
Laserform. For those who want to pay a licence fee to use electronically generated forms. Not official but very reliable.
"Yet another Woolf site". A commentary and updater (usually quicker than the DCA) on the CPRs, prepared by a set of barristers. May be useful if you are out of reach of Blackstones or the White Book.
Court of First Instance. Including a link to its rules of procedure.
House of Lords - link to the "blue book", the procedural bible for appeals to the House of Lords

Court Service official listing of High Court fees.
Court Service official listing of County Court fees.
Costs guideline hourly rates; assembled by the Courts Service and setting out the hourly rates for different locations that are taken as guidelines on costs assessments.

The Academy of Experts. Professional Body for Expert Witnesses.
Expert Witness Institute. The other professional body. Also with a search facility.
The Expert Witness Directory. Published by Sweet & Maxwell with a sophisticated search facility.
 
Support Services for Litigators   Investigators and Process Servers Top?
Association of British Investigators. The site includes a search facility for investigators who are members of, and approved by, this organisation.
Institute of Professional Investigators. The other professional organisation for enquiry agents; also with a searchable database of members.
Amsel & Co. A specialist IP investigation team; well known to many of us and very effective.

Edwin Coe. A well established litigation firm which undertakes London agency work.
KSB Law. A firm of solicitors with a long established "London agency" department. E-mail casemanagement@ksblaw.co.uk
Blaize. A firm that specialises in court work in London on an agency basis. More reliable than post for important cases and may be able to stand in on hearings.

Searchable archive of website material

Searchable databases of bankrupts operated by the Insolvency Service

Tape transcript request form, available on the Court Service website
List of authorised members of the tape transcription panel, maintained by the Court Service.
Marten Walsh Cherer. The transcript organisation that is probably most familiar to IP practitioners, and with a wealth of experience in the field.
Wordwave. The new name for Smith Bernal. Another well known court reporter. Has the contract for all Court of Appeal cases.
 
Professional Standards Top?
Guide to Professional Standards. The solicitors bible, searchable on the Law Society website. May provide a touchstone if CIPA/ITMA rules silent on a point.
Bar Council Code of Conduct. Another source of guidance, particularly in relation to advocacy.
 
Courts Top?
HM Court Service - home page with links to a large body of information about the courts in England and Wales.

Incorporated Council of Law Reporting. Includes the Weekly Law Reports.
Weekly Law Report. Free daily summaries and archive. Probably only useful for procedural issues (and browse, rather than search, facility)

IP Menu. A website of links to IP-related websites worldwide. Organised in categories. Developed by Australian firm Phillips, Ormonde & Fitzpatrick
Statute Law Database; official database of primary legislation; long awaited but very good.
